Our Story

206Agency began its journey over a decade ago, when a diverse combination of marketing professionals with equally diverse skillsets bonded together. From day one, we focused passionately on giving clients unbridled thinking and nontraditional solutions to a wide variety of challenges they faced.

Frequently our solutions required the addition of new, unique disciplines. We grew quickly and added talent organically, guided by a simple mantra: do great work, and build a great culture for the people doing it.

We typically build strong relationships with our clients, which we value whole-heartedly and which enables us to understand, glean and refine a brand’s true story. Answering the question: what is authentic, relatable and genuinely believable about the brand and the people behind it?

We also determined early on that people crave an emotional payoff from a brand before they invest in it. And the best way to deliver emotion is through an experience. A physical or human experience that promises something warmer and more personal. Our experiential acumen became our calling card, and clients from Disney to Microsoft to Amazon to Toyota to Southwest Airlines believed in our ability to move people.

Fast-forward to the present. Imagine this relatively small, nimble, highly creative, personable agency, creating amazing experiences for some of the best brands in the world, becoming part of a billion dollar global enterprise. Suddenly we were fueled by national support, strong technology, millions of dollars of up-to-the minute consumer research, entry to more of the world’s retail leaders, and the addition of one of the best staffing and field marketing groups in the business.
